in the City of Mexico in 1954. Critic and film script writer, Leonardo
Garcia Tsao has written books on film makers Orson Welles, François
Truffaut, Andrei Tarkovski, Sam Peckinpah, and Felipe Cazals. His
most recent publication is El Ojo y la Navaja, a collection of his
reviews and essays. He is the author of Intimidad, a feature, and
of Ponchada, a short film shown at the festivals at Cannes, Toronto,
San Sebastián, and Havana. For twelve years, he was programmer at
the Cineteca Nacional, in Mexico. He was programmer at the Cancun
Festival and the director of the Mexico Film Festival in Guadalajara.
He has been a delegate at the Mexico Festival in San Sebastián for
