KOKKURI

Japan

Kokkuri Mio, Hiroko and Masami, three voluble and insecure teenagers seem to oscillate between life and death, with no great dreams or projects. They are fans of Michiru, a disk jockey for the program Midnight Blue, who between one piece of music and another tells stories of love and sex on a radio broadcasting station in Tokyo.

The girls lead a normal life with problems typical of the age bracket they belong to: they do not get along well with their families, their dates are not lasting, and they are in the grips of sexual conflict.

One night, all begins to change: DJ Michiru suggests they go in search of Kokkuri, a man deeply connected with spiritualism and magic. They try then to guess what the future might hold for them. Thus, the trio go deep into an absolutely mysterious world.
